About

hey, I’m Jessie!

I’ve been in the health and fitness space for about 15 years now.

It started with me working out in the mornings before school so I was ready for track season, and then it just grew from there! And what a ride it has been.

Since wanting to share my love for fitness, I’ve been a personal trainer, group fitness coach, online health coach, I wrote and published 3 journals, spoke at events and submitted a few articles for a local magazine.

But along the way, I got distracted and lost the fun of it. And in all honestly, found the wrong people that told me charging thousands of dollars for coaching was ok.

Jessie- Health and Hobbies

Looking back, that’s not how I feel anymore, and never did. In a way, this is my apology for doing that. No one ever hired me at that price point (understandable, and thankfully), but I lost so much potential to help others.

So that’s my goal now, while also healing myself.

Not sure when you’re finding me on your own health and fitness journey, but I was pulled into the hustle, no days off, work when you’re sick and never give up.

And don’t get me wrong, that’s a good approach to life TO A CERTAIN EXTENT.

I took it too far, punished myself with fitness and food, got to a terrible spot mentally and had to unlearn it all to find balance. It’s taken a bit of time to do it, but I’m at a spot where it’s not just committing it to memory. I still have days where I spiral, wonder if life’s worth it anymore, but then can jump back in a day or so.

Life is hard and doesn’t come with a great manual. There’s the ideal way to do life, but very few ever get to see it happen. So this is my take two.

I didn’t get it all figured out by 25, and I’m learning to be ok with it. My goal with this blog is to constantly choose myself.

I’m not a failure.
I don’t need to just give up.
There’s still plenty of time left.
And I really do want to see how my story will play out. I want to be present for it and now just keep waiting for the “one day”.

Thanks for being here and I hope to share as much helpful information as possible!
Can’t wait to share this journey with you! Check out the latest blog posts I have.
