Welcome to the year everything changes for you! Together we’re going to create a cozy healthy lifestyle that’s flexible and consistent.
I know you’ve been on this health journey for years, and you’re ready to stop overcomplicating it. To trust yourself with the choices you make and feeling confident as you do it.
So come spend a year working through health and hobbies with me. It’s free, and the weekly lessons and work-throughs arrive straight to your inbox once you join the Diary.
Each month we’ll focus on a new topic to help you slowly build lasting change together.
Each week of that monthly challenge, you’ll get links to blog posts, videos and podcast episodes that will help you work through and create the healthy life you want.
You can stay the whole month or pick-and-choose the topics you want to focus on.
Either way, I’m just so excited to dive into this Year of Health and Hobbies. So let me break down exactly what we’re going to be doing together in 2027!
But first, the Experimental Mindset
We need to cover this quickly as it’s the main framework we’ll be using all year long, and that’s the Experimental Mindset.
Because with an experiment, there’s no success or failure, there’s just an outcome. And with that outcome, YOU get to decide what it is you want to do with it.
Do you want to keep it, do you want to toss it, do you want to try something new?
But ultimately it puts YOU back in charge of your life.
Each month I’m going to challenge you with a new aspect to start experimenting with. Breaking it down into easy actionable steps that build off of each other throughout the year.
So with that in mind, here’s what your Year of Health and Hobbies will look like!
Freedom From Numbers- January
Starting right away to set the standard for the year, we’re focusing on numbers, but in a different way.
We’re going to learn to stop obsessing over calories, weight, exercise minutes and perfection so you can finally enjoy taking care of yourself.
By learning what to focus on instead of the number, you’re going to allow yourself to actually become intuitive with your body again. Not just relying on what everyone else is telling you is healthy or not.
Just because you may HAVE fat, doesn’t mean it should define who you are.
We’re ditching the scale forever, or until you can look at the number without it defining your worth and ruining your day.
You can still want to lose weight without it needing to define you NOW.
AND decide that losing weight doesn’t need to be an all consuming thing.
Say goodbye to daily weigh-ins, food scales and fitness rings. We’re detoxing!
Food Experiment- February and June
Now that numbers are out of the way, let’s dive into food! The first time through the Food Experiment is setting the standard for how you’re going to approach what you eat.
Paying attention to what foods give and take away your energy, how you feel throughout the day, if you’re snacking or eating enough, and figuring out how to connect the dots through experimenting.
Again, the goal with experimenting is to take an outside perspective and learn to disconnect yourself from the result.
It’s all just information you’re taking, and you get to decide what changes based on the results.
Not that it’s going to define you, but help you better achieve your goals.
The second time through the Food Experiment is looking at how routines, vacations, changing schedules and seasons affect the foods you choose.
So this time is more experimenting and expanding your baseline for the summer months. Still focusing on the basic framework, but with a more seasonal twist. Continuing to build off of all the progress you’ve made so far and work on solidifying it to your lifestyle.
Movement Experiment- March and July
Starting your first Movement Experiment in March is very strategic. Most people fall off of their New Year’s Goals by this time in the year, but we’re just getting started!
I also want to make it clear, you can still be exercising and trying different diets you WANT to throughout our time together. I’m just going to help you see them differently.
So again, our first time through the Movement Experiment is going to be setting the new standard of what movement is, taking the stress and pressure off of fitness needing to look a certain way, and helping you learn to have fun with it again through experimenting.
The second Movement Experiment in the summer is going to be looking at new ways to move. With it being nicer outside, vacations, schedule and routine changes, all that fun stuff, what do you WANT to do at this time?
We’ll explore new workout ideas and be focusing on just having more fun with movement and “summer vacation” vibes.
59 Days to Habit Change- April- May and August- September
This is where we pull everything together! Combining what you started in the Food and Movement Experiment, and adding in hobbies and a few other things you want to see happen in that timeframe.
This is a fun challenge of, ‘let’s see what happens’ as we continue with the experimental mindset.
With the focus being on truly creating that healthy lifestyle you want. One of balance yet small sacrifice as you continue to work towards your goals.
And the second time through, as always, will be focusing on schedules, routines, seasonal changes and most likely coming back to basics.
Summer months are fun but chaotic, so this is a great time to have a check in and 2 months of setting new standards based on where you’re at with your goals for the year.
No More Weight Loss Resolution- November
Near the end of the year, more people are looking to the new year to start their weight loss journey. They’ve given up at this point and are just going to ignore everything and wait.
I’m here to show you that you don’t need to write off the end of the year, and help capture new and existing people.
You can still make healthy changes now, without completely sacrificing the holidays you love that are coming up.
We reframe how you see yourself and weight loss, and come back to the basics. This way you’re able to have a great holiday season, while still taking care of yourself whenever you find me.
If you’ve been with me all year long, this is a nice refresher to keep things simple and to stick with your healthy baseline we’ve been building throughout our time together, especially through the busy holiday lense.
If you’re just finding me at this point, it’s a great time to come back to basics and have a quick and supportive win through the holidays to stick with.
I’m not selling weight loss here, but a mindset shift.
Sometimes we get so stuck on a specific number, that we forget the goal of weight loss is to feel more confident and better in our skin and minds.
So I help remind you what is possible through the No More Weight Loss Resolution Plan!
New Year Without Starting Over- December
Ending the year is a sweet spot. If you’ve stuck with me all year long, we look back and celebrate everything you’ve done! Big and small, there are plenty of things to be proud of.
If you’re just finding me now, then there’s no better time to join the Year of Health and Hobbies as we start to prepare for a new year!
Either way, we celebrate all you’ve accomplished, release what didn’t work, and set a new mindset and standard we’re going to work on together.
It’s a great way to end a year, while also getting excited for what you want the coming year to look like.
And that’s your Year of Health and Hobbies!
I’m honestly SO excited to go through this whole year with you and create a realistic healthy lifestyle together!
Again, when you join the Diary, I’ll send blog posts, videos and podcast episodes to help you throughout the week straight to your inbox for FREE! It will include tips, action steps, and things to work on based on that month’s topic.
I’d also love to hear any and all feedback you have during our time together.
Health can be so overcomplicated when you’ve been doing it for years. I want to remind you of what you already know, and help you find the confidence to create your own healthy life.
And we’ll do that through a Year and Health and Hobbies!
